The WCBS Customer Satisfaction Survey Results are In!

Thank you to the over 900 respondents from a record number of 74 hospitals and healthcare facilities, who participated in this year’s survey!

Overall, blood users remain satisfied with nine out of the ten parameters covered in the survey concerning the quality of products and services provided by the Western Cape Blood Service (WCBS). The timeous delivery of blood products scored below the survey benchmark of 85%.

The statement: Blood requests and examinations (tests) are ready within the agreed timeframe, is measured against published Blood Bank turnaround times, that pertain to processing blood requests in the laboratory itself and exclude transportation of blood. External contributing factors should also be considered when assessing timeframes, particularly for hospitals without onsite Blood Banks. WCBS endeavors to deliver safe blood products to patients in the Western Cape without unnecessary delay.
