WCBS Message for World Haemophilia Day

WCBS wishes to acknowledge the haemophilia community for their unwavering perseverance, endurance and success as individuals and under the banner of the South African Haemophilia Foundation, as we commemorate World Haemophilia Day on April 17th. The purpose of this occasion is to raise awareness and funds for persons with haemophilia (PWH), von Willebrand Disease and other inherited bleeding disorders. The day’s theme will be “Access for All: Prevention of Bleeds as the Global Standard of Care”.

In keeping with the day’s theme, WCBS ensures its continued commitment to the provision of a safe and adequate supply of blood products in the Western Cape, and cryoprecipitate rich plasma to the National Bioproducts Institute for the manufacture of intravenous Factor VIII and IX.
