With the help of the My Walk Initiative, an innovative CSI project from Adcock Ingram and Netcare, we sponsored 165 pairs of school shoes towards the KFM Stationery Vehicle.
Our relationship with Adcock Ingram led to an exciting opportunity to purchase school shoes as a way of making a difference in the lives of children from underprivileged communities. They supply us with vital products for blood and blood product donation processing, such as saline solution and other medical consumables used daily.
These school shoes are made from repurposed non-hazardous drip bags, oxygen masks, and other associated tubing that would otherwise be destined for landfill. In doing so, they help reduce harmful greenhouse gas emissions that damage our planet and provide children in need with an essential item for their school journey.
In line with this vision of positive change, we were thrilled to collaborate with the KFM Stationery Vehicle Drive, led by Carl Wastie, with the Community Chest as the beneficiary. The shoes were handed over on 12 February 2025. Their dedicated efforts with disadvantaged communities provide essential resources that help children access the tools they need to succeed and thrive. We are honoured to be part of this initiative, ensuring that children in the Western Cape receive the support they deserve.
