In the spirit of giving, we were thrilled to participate in the amazing Santa Shoebox Project by helping them spread the joy to underprivileged children in South Africa and Namibia. Over the past 17 years, the Project has generously reached 1,152,587 children. The real joy of each contribution is seeing these children’s smiles as they open their gifts.

While our daily focus remains on maintaining blood stock levels in the Western Cape, we are equally passionate about giving back. This year, our dedicated team collectively donated over 35 gift boxes with essential items, gifts and treats to children between the ages of 3 and 11 years old. We are incredibly grateful to play our part in spreading the joy this festive season.

Nadia Pietersen was one of our staff, leading her team in the Virology Department to take up the challenge by spreading the joy to little ones who need it most.

Sybil Jacobs, who is our Clinic Coordinator, passionately managed to get our clinic staff to contribute towards this project; her motivation encouraged staff to look beyond themselves and to serve even in the smallest ways.
