Welcome to the final edition of Blood Buzz for 2024! As we reflect on this remarkable year, we want to take a moment to express our immense gratitude for your unwavering support in helping us save lives across the Western Cape. This December, our theme is “Give the Greatest Gift” the gift that keeps on giving through the simple yet life-saving act of blood donation. Your dedication has been felt deeply by us, in our blood banks, and most importantly, by the patients in hospitals who needed it most. For that, we thank you.
In this edition, you’ll read real, inspiring stories from our donors, as well as highlights from our Red Saturday event. We’ll show you how you can continue to make a difference, especially if you or a loved one is no longer able to donate blood for some reason. Additionally, we’ll highlight the incredible work of our Top 10 blood donation school clinics and share some highlight of the recognition awards we’ve given out in 2024.
It’s been a remarkable year, and even amidst personal challenges, our community of blood donors has consistently helped us maintain a safe and sustainable blood supply for the Western Cape. We’re incredibly grateful for your loyalty and support, and we look forward to achieving even greater victories with you in the year ahead.
