As the year is well underway, we’re excited to have you alongside us in this important journey of blood donation. For our first trimester campaign, we’re focusing on the word ‘type’ because each one of you is someone’s blood type and you hold the power to save a life!
In this edition of Blood Buzz, we’ve put together a selection of updates from the past three months. We begin with the incredible support you showed during the month of love through our article ‘We Love What You Do’. Then, we take you behind the scenes at university orientation days, where our ‘Blood Type U’ campaign has been making an impact.
We’re also happy to introduce our Extra Drop Initiative, where instead of receiving your token of appreciation, you opt to have us donate R15 on your behalf to a selected charity in the Western Cape, further extending your generosity. Additionally, we’ll share updates on our fixed site in Somerset West and how your contributions are helping us grow our life-saving mission.
Lastly, we’ll highlight some of the exciting moments from the Cape Town Cycle Tour and our Shavathon at the head office. We also send our warmest wishes to our Muslim donors during this special time of prayer and fasting.
