It was without hesitation that when the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital planned renovations impacted the Blood Bank, that the move was made to the first floor (B-Floor) next to the cafeteria inside the hospital – where it will remain for the next two years until the build is complete.

Red Cross Blood Bank provides the full spectrum of blood and blood products for around 29 hospitals and healthcare facilities located from the Cape Flats to as far afield as Alexander Bay in the Northern Cape.

Directions: Take the back lane on the hospital premises (past the old Blood Bank). At the Afrox tanks, turn right. Take the first left turn and continue to the brick wall located at the hospital entrance, where there are two Blood Bank visitor parking bays. Enter and follow the signage to Blood Bank.
