Who doesn’t love a good superhero story? From Wonder Woman to the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man hero who saves the day. Superheroes capture our imaginations with their daring acts and life-saving heroics. But what if I told you that you could save the day and be a superhero, too? No cape or superpowers required – just the commitment to donating blood.

Our schools across the Western Cape took up the challenge during the third term to get in their real superhero costumes, saving the world and having fun while at it. In an effort to promote participation amongst the learners we ran with a Superhero Selfie competition. Dress up, tag us on socials and stand a chance to win. Easy as saving lives!

Superheroes are known for their efforts to protect its people. Whether its Superman swooping in to save a falling plane or Wonder Woman bending bullets with her bracelets. These are the young heroes who every two months show their true heroism by rolling up their sleeves and donating blood.

Just like Batman would say, “A Hero Can Be Anyone”.
