We know how busy life can get, and even though you can donate blood every 56 days, which equates to 6 times in a year, the Commitment Campaign aims to encourage our blood donors to donate at least 4 times a year and help save 12 lives.
The demand for blood is constant and in the Western Cape, where the population continues to increase every year, so too does the demand for a safe and sustainable blood supply. We aim to collect 700 units of blood every day and to achieve this goal, the Commitment Campaign was introduced. We believe that donating blood 4 times a year is an achievable goal for most blood donors.
As a token of appreciation, we give all blood donors who achieve this goal a Commitment Campaign gift. This year every donor who successfully donates blood 4 times will have the opportunity to choose between a portable charcoal braai or a branded WCBS camping chair.
Let’s make 2022 a remarkable year, commit to donating 4 times.
